Practical answers about getting started, using Qcard, and making room for what’s in front of you.

Getting started

Can Qcard help people with ADHD or a brain injury?

Qcard was created after its founder experienced a brain injury. People living with ADHD, brain injuries, and challenges with memory and executive function use it to help them follow through on everyday tasks. You don’t need a diagnosis to find it useful.

What is Qcard?

Qcard is the reminder app that keeps “not now” from becoming “I forgot.” It reminds you every minute until you respond. Delay or complete a reminder directly from its notification. Qcard is currently available for iPhone.

Do I need to sign up?

No signup, email address, credit card, or subscription agreement is needed to begin your 30 free days of personal use.

What goes into a Qcard?

A Qcard holds something you want to remember and when it’s due. A description and a time are enough. Checklists and repeat settings are there when you need them.

Which devices is Qcard for?

Qcard is an iPhone app. Check its App Store listing for the current iOS compatibility requirements.

Using Qcard

How do appointment reminders work?

Set the appointment date and time, then choose when your first reminder starts. Each time it reminds you, decide when to be reminded again. You can keep delaying the reminder as often as you need, all the way up to the appointment.

What happens if I can’t do something now?

Delay the Qcard. The alerts pause, and Qcard brings it back at the new due time. It then reminds you every minute until you respond again.

Can I respond without opening the app?

Yes. Qcard notifications include options to delay by 15 minutes, one hour, or 24 hours, or mark the card complete. You can respond from your Lock Screen, Home Screen, or while using another app.

How do guided tasks work?

Green Qcards help you work through a sequence. Qcard stays with the current step until you mark it complete. Completing that step activates the next one.

Can I look back at completed Qcards?

Yes. Qcards you mark complete stay in your history. This is a record of what you marked complete.

Notifications

Why am I not receiving alerts?

Your iPhone’s notification settings or Focus mode may be silencing Qcard. Qcard follows those settings and does not override Focus.

Will Qcard vibrate when my iPhone is on silent?

Vibration depends on your iPhone’s Haptics and notification settings, including when the phone is on silent.

Trial & subscription

What happens after the free 30 days?

On day 31, when you open Qcard, you’ll see the monthly and yearly subscription options to continue. Starting the free trial does not itself sign you up for a paid subscription.

Can I subscribe before the 30 days end?

Yes. You can subscribe at any time during the free period. The subscription options and terms are shown before purchase.

Sharing Qcards

Can I send a Qcard to someone else?

Yes. The recipient can accept or decline it. Once accepted, they control it just like a card they created themselves, including delaying or completing it. The sender can see acceptance and completion status.

Storage

Where are my Qcards stored?

Your Qcards are stored locally on your iPhone. If you choose to send a Qcard, its content and delivery information are transmitted to deliver it to the recipient.
